The Boston Music Awards have announced the 2015 nominees. “The awards will be a two night affair held at The Sinclair in Harvard Square on December 9th and 10th.” Among the nominees, Trespass Music’s own Danielle Miraglia!.

Danielle Miraglia comes armed with a strong steady thumb on an old Gibson, an infectious stomp-box rhythm and harmonica with tunes ranging from heart-felt to socially conscious that will move both your heart and hips. On her latest “Glory Junkies” she’s joined by a killer cast of musicians blending the classic rock vibe of The Rolling Stones and Janis Joplin with Danielle’s signature lyrical ability to explore human nature at its best and worst.

Danielle is a dynamic and captivating musician; her rich soulful voice and blues guitar mastery resonate in a performance both rare and unforgettable.
Paul Patchel, State Street Blues Festival – Media, PA

The genius of Glory Junkies is that Miraglia successfully pokes fun at a proverbial “selfie nation,” while also fully owning that tendency. Glory Junkies offers up deeply narrative lyricism and carefully crafted compositions…Glory Junkies boasts a song about reality TV, and one (the title track) that pokes fun at immortalizing one’s own image. Others stray into more personal territory, hitting close to home on Miraglia’s family dynamic, but the concept of the album remains a mainstay throughout.
Liz Rowley, BestNewBands

Danielle has toured and played major venues across the United States and beyond, shining in both the Folk and Blues circuits including New York State Blues Festival, New Bedford Summerfest, The Narrows Center for the Arts (Fall River, MA), The Birchmere (Alexandria, VA), The Ramshead (Annapolis, MD), Sellersville Theater (Sellersville, PA) and the list goes on….

She has shared the stage with the likes of Johnny Winter, Bettye Lavette, John Hammond Jr., Joan Osborne, John Mayall, Sonny Landreth, John Oates, Colin Hay, Robert Cray, Rodney Crowell and many more.

Danielle’s career highlights include:
Boston Music Awards Nominee – Singer-Songwriter of the Year
Mountain Stage NewSong Northeast Regional Winner – NERFA Formal Showcase Artist
Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist – RedLine Roots Big Red Favorite Local Female Songwriter

Cotuit Center for the Arts Presents “The 5th Annual Bob Dylan Birthday Tribute: This Year the Format’s a Changin’”

Celebrate Bob Dylan’s 74th birthday with Matt Borrello, Art Tebbetts, Danielle Miraglia, and a special guest appearance by James Davis on Saturday, May 9, at 7:30 PM, at the Third Fret Coffeehouse at Cotuit Center for the Arts. Each singer will offer his or her own take on both Dylan’s classics and some of his obscure tunes.

James Davis, a Cape Cod high school student, received unanimous praise for his performances in the Center’s production of “The Beat Goes On” earlier in the season.

New this year is a short “Nod to Bob,” a “name that tune” segment in which the musicians and the audience test each other’s knowledge of Bob. The musicians will play a Dylan tune and audience members will see how fast they can guess the name of the tune. Then audience members will try to stump the musicians by asking them to play what they may think are lesser known Dylan tunes.
The musicians will also take requests from the audience in a special new segment of the show. To make a request in advance of the show, email Tracey at tracey@trespassmusic.org

On her newly released third album “Glory Junkies” she’s joined by a killer cast of musicians blending the classic rock vibe of artists like The Rolling Stones and Janis Joplin with Danielle’s signature lyrical ability to explore human nature at its best and worst. Danille_promoshot Raised just outside of Boston in Revere, MA, where its famous beach is better known for girls with big hair than its history as a popular tourist attraction, Danielle was raised on a variety of popular music, from her parent’s Motown records to the classic rock influences like The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin that encouraged her to learn to play guitar at thirteen. A passion for the arts and an outstanding gift for writing lead her to Emerson College in Boston’s downtown theater district. After graduating with a degree in Creative Writing, she put her writing skills, originally intended for novels, towards songwriting and began performing at open mike nights in the Boston area. This set in motion what would become a full-time musical career.
