Trespass Music Roster and Radio clients have hit Dan Herman’s Radio Crystal Blue Charts Top 100 for 2012
Danielle Miraglia and her critically acclaimed album “Box of Troubles” secured a Top 10 position coming in at #7 on Radio Crystal Blue Charts. Danielle’s latest release “Box of Troubles” a bare-bones expression of all these attributes, explores the highs and lows that life has to offer and has already received rave reviews. Alternate Root says “Danielle Miraglia’s guitar work keeps Delta traditions alive. Her steady thumb and playing style trace a direct line to the blues of the field and chicken shacks. Vocally, Danielle’s voice digs in, twisting within the delivery, seeming to break but more likely soaring before the fall. ‘Box of Troubles’ balances good times with the bad, her characters roles’ defined and believable.” Danielle was featured in Acoustic Live in NYC Magazine in July by editor Richard Cuccaro, who served notice to the NY music community about Danielle saying “Danielle Miraglia …supremely intelligent and talented performer. It’s a plus that finding out how good a writer she is now reinforces our first impression of a highly energetic blues artist. We don’t see any New York City dates in the immediate future. Area venue booking personnel, we’re serving notice … get busy — get Danielle! Richard Cuccaro Acoustic Live in NYC Magazine Read entire July Cover Feature in Acoustic Live in NYC Magazine HERE

Radio Clients Buskin & Batteau earned a spot in the Top 100 coming in at #82. Buskin & Batteau have been winning hearts and minds with their soulful acoustic balladry and fun-filled performances for more years than they care to remember. Their current album “Love Remembered, Love Forgot” continues to receive rave reviews and airplay.
The Washington Post called their work “an irresistible amalgam of melodic, sensual pop, folkie grit and killer wit.” And while their humor runs the gamut from topical irony (“Second Homeless”) to terminal silliness (“Jews Don’t Camp”), it’s their unique combination of instrumental virtuosity (piano and violin, primarily, though both play other instruments as well), soaring vocal harmonies and unparalleled lyric-writing that prompts the standing ovations and rhapsodic reviews: “The most musically sophisticated act in folk” –The New York Times; “Acoustic Heaven” – The Boston Globe. And with the help of uber-percussionist Marshal Rosenberg, they manage to kick the rhythm pretty hard for a couple of seasoned troubadors.
Famous in the eighties as superstar jingle writers –Batteau’s “Heartbeat of America” heads a list of a hundred or more hits — they’ve also divided their time between writing songs for other artists — e.g., Judy Collins, Tom Rush, Astrud Gilberto, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Peter, Paul and Mary and Bette Midler; helping a diverse group of non-profits — Paul Newman’s Hole-In-The-Wall Camps, Harry Chapin’s WhyHunger, Roger Payne’s Ocean Alliance, among others; and hosting their quirky, unpredictable Radio B&B show on WPKN-FM and WPKN.org. Their new CD “Love Remembered, Love Forgot” was recorded at Neale Eckstein’s Fox Run Studios in Sudbury, MA.

“Radio Crystal Blue is primarily a podcast program. This program is the collection of sounds that are generated by top indie and touring artists that are not major-label…just everyone else. I strive to connect one song to another by way of a chord, a lyric, a sentiment based on the time of the month, the year, a season, a common association between 2 artists or labels, a band or songwriter I booked, etc. You really do have to listen to the show to understand what I mean, but, once you do, you’ll feel the flow of this lost art of radio called freeform. I broadcast on Tuesdays, and eventually the show gets uploaded and presented on Big Contact (podcast provider) and the Web at large. I never know how it will end…the songs are chosen spontaneously, tho in advance I’ve chosen as much as which artist from which album…putting together segments generally by degrees of loudness. The middle stuff I put in the beginning…the louder in the middle, and the quiet at the end. Listen at various times of the year and you will pick up on songs I spin once a year as traditions.
I strive to play original music, as new as possible, from artists that currently promote their gigs and news. I stray from playing ‘singles’, ‘covers’, ‘standards’ and the like unless absolutely unavoidable. I believe in playing cuts that don’t always get aired.” Dan Herman ~ Radio Crystal Blue
