We’ve got a secret, we have to share. Linda McRae will be releasing “Rough Edges & Ragged Hearts” worldwide with Trespass Music, November 1. Trespass Music congratulates Linda on her CFMA Nomination for Contemporary Album of the Year!
Trespass Music Radio Client Linda McRae, Canadian Juno nominee, Triple Gold-Double Platinum Recording Artist, has been nominated by the Canadian Folk Music Awards for Contemporary Album of the Year, a nod from her colleagues, for her fourth critically-acclaimed solo release “Rough Edges & Ragged Hearts.”
McRae is ecstatic and adds “Thanks so much to the CFMA’s for nominating me for this award. Being in such fine company is truly humbling. I’m excited as a skunk with a mayonnaise jar stuck on her head…well maybe just a little different!”
The Canadian Folk Music Awards mission is to “celebrate and promote Canadian folk music in all its forms. Until their creation in 2005, there existed no awards to celebrate the breadth and depth of folk music in Canada. The judging process is similar to that of the two-stage elimination model used by the Junos via a randomly selected jury drawn from our community.”
Nominee Showcases will be held at the Sanctuary Theatre, Thursday, November 15 and Friday, November 16. Winners will be announced and awards presented Saturday, November 17 at an Evening Gala & Reception held at the Imperial Theatre, located at 24 Kings Square, Saint John, New Brunswick at 8:00 pm, with a reception to follow in the Delta Brunswick Ballroom. Tickets are now available for the event at the Imperial Theatre by calling (506) 674-4100 or 1-800-323-7469.
