PT is Paul Tessier and PT’s Roadhouse is his station, which is “real fine tunes for real fine folks.”
“From a very early age, I wanted to be a radio announcer. I’d listen all night to stations drifting in from the U.S. and Canada from my childhood home in northern Saskatchewan, Canada.
At age 19 or so, I started working in radio. The year was 1972. For over 20 years, I bounced “up and down the dial” like Johnny Fever!”
In 1992 Paul made a career change and went back to school to obtain a Social Work degree and worked as an addictions counsellor for over 15 years. But his heart belonged to radio. In 2010 he retired and returned to radio with techie friend Jacob and created ptsroadhouse.
“This project has become a passion and a dream come true! It allows me to play music that I love without the constraints of consultants, bureaucracies, bosses and other such pains!
I’ve always loved playing music for folks. Back in my drinking days, I’d invite folks over to my place after the bars closed to listen to tunes well into the early morning hours! I loved introducing folks to new music and “gettin’ into new stuff.
And in a sense, that’s what these shows are all about. I’ve noticed over the years that most folks like different kinds of music and that if it’s presented correctly, people usually dig it! I take lots of pride in “pacing” the music so that there’s a nice flow and variety in all the shows we put out.
So tune in and enjoy! It’s great to have you along for the ride!
Thanks!”
