FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Born of Italian immigrants and union activists, Joe Iadanza understands the passionate struggle of the American dream. Iadanza, a Long Island-based folk singer, has become a beacon to his fans, inspiring them with his ability to persevere, despite the many obstacles in his path.
Iadanza’s newest initiative, “The American Dream Project”, invites people to visit his website at http://joeiadanza.com/freecd/ and do something very simple – share their deepest lifelong dreams with the rest of the community. In exchange, Iadanza is offering a free CD (he’s even paying the postage), which includes some tracks from his new album, All in Good Time (2010).
Iadanza explains, “Things are tough out there. People are starting-out and starting-over. The American dream has always been about taking responsibility for your own personal freedom. ‘The American Dream Project’ is an opportunity for people to answer the question, ‘If you could do anything with your life, what would you do?’ Joe believes that voicing your dream gives it a chance for a new life, and that following your dream can lead to freedom and happiness.
Joe continues, “This is a first step. I want people to know that they’re not alone, and that it is never too late to turn inward or start over. Somewhere along the line we make a choice to either follow our inner voice, or to ignore it. I ignored it for many years and became very unhappy. It’s not easy to follow your heart, but life is much more interesting when you do”.
At thirty-eight years old, Iadanza owns his home, is happily married, consults part-time, and is a dedicated father. Since 2008, he has also released two albums (Traveling Salesman& All In Good Time), toured the US and Europe, and continues to grow a loyal fan base of like-minded folks who identify with his working-class songs about love, life, loss and the American dream.
